My adventure back home
May 19, 2008 11:53 am Pictures, Random SuetHello as you know, I’m back I’m back I’m back I’m back but I’m also extremely bored!!!!!!!!!!1111 GRR. There’s absolutely nothing to do in KL when you don’t have a car! My sis officially owns the car now and since my driving suxxor to the maxxor, my mom said i can’t drive without any supervision T____T So now I’m like a handicapped person who has a choice of either staying at home and stone, or take a bus to pyramid..
Also, everyone is so busy with exams, college etc and has no time for me! I need to cut my hair so badly but I can’t possibly walk there and I’m too stingy to get a cab and it’s far too hot to take the bus! Sigh and the internet is so slow here I can’t even watch my tv shows T__T What’s worse than being stuck at home in 34 degree celcius and the inability to turn on the aircon cause too stingy and don’t wanna waste electricity is having the slowest internet connection in the whole wide world. it was like 10mbp whatever last i checked. load one page also need 3 minutes i’m not kidding!
But luckily, I went to one u with jiameei yesterday! Sigh why does shopping in malaysia suck so much?! Everything was so freaking overpriced! (especially forever 21 omg i don’t know who actually buys stuff from there! everything was like at least double the original price wei and how i knew that was cause i went to mall every week last time and memorized everything they had already wtf so I could compare)
Went to jiameei’s house for a sleepover after that and did random stuff like playing with max!!!

We also went to the temple with my family after that for wesak. And you know what you know what! The monk sprinkled holy water on my head you knowww! I have never felt so blessed before and he also tied the string on my wrist /shy. damn jakun but actually i go for that wesak thing every year one just that i forgot all this already so everything felt so new to me wtf
that’s all the end of my few days back home. Tomorrow I’m going to sg wang with jolene and jiameei yays! wah i’m quite happening ah wtf! hopefully the things in sg wang are still as cheap as they used to be which i really doubt la.
p.s: this is really weird but ever since i came home, i don’t really feel like eating much at all. hmm i haven’t even eaten a lot of msian food yet..it’s like my craving for them went away suddenly although i’ve been craving for the past 9 months. weird..but i’m not complaining! i wish my appetite will be gone forever and my dream will finally come true.

lol i don’t get why is marriedwoman so pissed off to the extent that it actually disgusted her? wow that’s real extreme. almost everyone i know who came back from overseas will complain about the heat and the slow connection, which is perfectly normal i’d say. even i do that when i come back from the uk and maybe because she doesn’t cause she has been living there and never came back? lol
btw, i’m sure Sweat still appreciates malaysia a lot despite her complaint, as do everyone.

what is wrong with you MARRIEDWOMAN. you are probably too old to be in here anyways. Coming in here just to create yet another drama. If you do come back in here to actually REPLY to all the comments that are yet to come to bash u up and down then you really do have nothing better to do in your life. If you have read suet’s blog for awhile you will see that she complains of stuff in the states too so whats wrong with complaining abt malaysia’s? The heat is just an ACTUAL FACT and I’m pretty sure not only overseas students complains abt when they go back. LOCALS do too! stooooopid. When I go back to my homecountry I’ll do that too and nothing’s wrong with that. F21 is I have to agree honestly overpriced in Southeast Asia. Shopping is definitely much more cheaper in the states/ canada/ australia (specially during the sales season). better quality i must add. If you’ve stayed overseas you should know that yourself. Get a loife.

Last time, and first time, I took a bus to pyramid was in form 3. After that I always opted other ways to got there. Even walking.
And Malaysia is damn boring already la. All my friends are either studying or working or coming back in winter. So, I meet the same few friends over and over again. Or else rot at home. But I do get to spend a lot of time with my family though. Say aww.
GB, pointy toed shoes are the shiznit among Russians and Arabs here. The rest of us think they’re eew.

Lol, its probably bad of me to jump on the bash MarriedWoman bandwagon, but come on. I love how older people always think that just because they have managed to live a few more years than us, it gives them the right to lecture the rest of us. If you’ve accomplished more than us, then you have that right, but simply because you’ve lived abroad and studied abroad, it means nothing.
Moreover, since you’re sharing what pisses you off, I’d like to share something as well. This sentence of yours violates almost every grammatical rule that exists:

and yeah lah, when i went back to kl after a hiatus of 3 years i 1: almost fell into the longkang the first time i left the house, forgot ini tempat punya longkang don’t have covers wtf -_______- 2. got heatstroke the moment i left the air-conditioned interior of KLIA and also sweated through my t-shirt (damn gross and unladylike ok)

sigh good la in uk no difference ok topshop and miss selfridge and warehouse and zara all same price wan except during sales la. but during sales malaysia also quite cheap wat just have to be fast cuz everyone thin wtf. the only things cheaper in the uk are luxury goods and i dont buy it everyday although i want to wtf

Suet, DON’T LET the criticism overcome you. I also complain about the slow internet connection and very heaty weather which makes my skin sticky. BUT that doesn’t mean we love Malaysia less right? Hm, this is rather more in response to your newer post but meh. I’ve been studying overseas for a few years now, and as you mentioned - everyone’s said pretty much what there is to say re “whiny brat etc etc etc”. What I want to offer, however, is this observation that generally (and yes, unfair generalisation this is), students overseas tend to be more proactive about “issues in Msia”. /shrug
